At 4 a.m. on June 21st, we hit the road for Brooks' first vacation. We headed up to the Ozarks in Missouri to visit my family and do some good ole' rainbow trout fishing. I was surprised that it didn't take much longer than the average 6 hours to make the trip. Brooks was the best little traveler! The two carloads carried Mimi, Dondaddy, Brian, me and Brooks, Brent, Eileen, Jack, and our good family friend Matt. We stopped by Mammoth Springs, AR on the way up to see the ducks and take some pictures. We hit the Eleven Point River early Sunday morning and fished and played in the water and on the sandbar all day. That night, Uncle Randy (the best fishing guide in the world!) fried and baked our catches from the day! It was the best! When we weren't fishing, we were visiting with Grandmama and the rest of the crew. It is such a gorgeous part of the country and is very dear to my family's heart! It was a wonderful trip! Nan told me to check your blog and look at the photos on there. I could not remember how to get to your blog, so all I did was Google "Brooks Hardy" and the website popped up. Glad you are doing this. It is fun to go in a see what you all are up to.
